Secure Your Home Before A Disaster

While you can’t control Mother Nature or the intensity of the storm, there are some vital precautions you can take to secure your home if a hurricane hits.

The outside of your home is arguably the most susceptible to hurricane damage. The most important precaution you can take during a hurricane to reduce damage to your home and property is to protect the areas where wind can enter. According to NOAA, it's important to strengthen the exterior of your house so wind and debris do not tear large openings in it. You can do this by protecting and reinforcing these five critical areas:
- Roof
- Straps
- Shutters
- Doors
- Garage Doors
